Allt na Cuile Sandstone - 2004

The Allt na Cuile Sandstone can be seen at Lothbeg point and is a white or grey or yellow fine grained sandstone. Fine plant remains can be found in particular Beds. Below this is the Kintradwell Beds, comprising of Thin Kimmeridge Shales. Nothwards from Lothbeg point, various outcrops of 'Boulder Beds' can be seen similar to those of Helmsdale, but these are fragmented and in small outrops.
